Aman Sinaya is a rival of Bathala. She is the goddess of the sea. There fighting resulted in the creation of the Philippine archipelago. She sent powerful waves to the god of heaven, which in turn was repaid by the massive slab of the earth. From here formed the islands and mountains, surrounded by oceans.(Philippine Mythology)

Note Sinaya is a goddess. Aman Sinaya (ie Ama ni Sinaya) is the god of the sea. His daughter is Sinaya. That’s how Tagalog naming convention went in the old times (the father changing his name based on his or if it’s a mother, her firstborn’s name).
