Here is a digital model and render by Kathryna Lee, showing her artistic interpretation (based on contemporary river ship designs of the late 19th and early 20th century) of the Bapor Tabo in Jose Rizal’s novels, the “El Filibusterismo“.
The ship model is rendered in the Pasig River in the midst of the 1930s Prewar Manila model of Renacimiento’s Digital Manila Project. The Spanish period cityscape is yet to be modeled (part of future projects).
The Bapor Tabo was recently mentioned on TV in an episode of “Maria Clara and Ibarra“.
