Benefits we receive from Bee

Today, May 20, is World Bee Day! This celebration aims to acknowledge the role of bees and other pollinators in food production and in biodiversity and environmental protection.

Bees play an essential role in pollination and are crucial for food security. Bees visit more than 90% of leading global crop types.

The health of people and the health of our planet are intimately connected.

When we care for nature we care for

  • Our health
  • Our food
  • Our economies

Here are just a few of the un-bee-lievable benefits we receive from a bee:

Bees help to produce

  • 33% of our food source
  • 80% of flowering plants
  • A global economic value of US$150 billion
