BRP Tarlac welcomes its new commander, Capt. Carlos R. Ruiz III.
Barko ng Republika ng Pilipinas (BRP) Tarlac LD601 welcomes its new commanding officer during the Change of Command Ceremony at Pier 13, South Harbor, Manila on November 05, 2018.
After 1 year and 7 months at the helm of BRP Tarlac LD601, Capt. Estelito B. Lagadia Jr PN(GSC) formally relinquished his duties and responsibilities as commanding officer to Capt. Carlos R Ruiz III PN(GSC) the former skipper of BRP Rajah Humabon PS-11.
Captain Lagadia commanded the vessel for one year and seven months, during his term he participated in various maritime exercises among these are the successful voyage to Vladivostok, Russia, and Jeju Island, South Korea.
The Commander Sealift Amphibious Force Commo. Antonio C Palces presided over the Change of Command Ceremony aboard BRP Tarlac LD601 with Commander Philippine Fleet, Rear Adm. Danilo R Rodelas as the keynote speaker.
President Rodrigo Roa Duterte has submitted to the Commission on Appointments (C.A.) for confirmation of the ad interim appointments of officers in the Armed Forces of the Philippines which including Captain Carlos Ruiz III to the rank of Captain on June 15, 2018.
The Commission on Appointment approved the appointment of Carlos Ruiz to the rank of Captain on October 3, 2018.
Captain Carlos Ruiz III is the former PS22 Commanding Officer.
