Cebu Cordova Expressway (CCLEX), commonly known as the 3rd Mactan Bridge, spans more than eight kilometers linking Cebu City and the town of Cordova, making it the longest and highest bridge in the country.
President Rodrigo Roa-Duterte attended the groundbreaking ceremony of the bridge, estimated at Php 30 billion, on March 2017.
The 3rd Mactan Bridge is expected to be operational by the first quarter of next year or 2022.
“The Build, Build, Build Program of the President is one of the important cornerstones of our country. We are hovering almost 5 percent infrastructure spending compared to an average of 2 percent in the previous administrations,” according to PCOO Sec. Martin M. Andanar.
