Dita Tree (Alstonia scholaris (L.) R. Br. var. Scholaris)
Dita is a medium to large tree that grows up to 20 meters high. It is commonly found in Cagayan in northern Luzon to Palawan and Mindanao in most or all islands and provinces, in primary and secondary forests at low and medium altitudes.
Its scented small tubular greenish-white flowers bloom in dense clusters and its white and lightweight wood produces good quality pulp suited for paper production.
