Ellinwood Malate Church

It was located along Calle Wright (Antonio Vasquez Sreet). Presbyterians established it in 1907, with Reverend George Wright as the first pastor.

The church takes its name from the Boys Dormitory where the church was established, which was named after Rev. Dr. Francis Ellinwood.

A new church building made of concrete was built on the address in 1932. The church was designated in the Neo-Gothic and Romanesque style.

In 1949, the United Church of Christ in the Philippines (UCCP), a union of several Protestant denominations, was established in the church.

A new and bigger sanctuary was completed in 1956, based on the designs of Architect Cesar Concio.
