Felix Galura: Father of Kapampangan Grammar (February 21, 1886 – July 21, 1919)
The most well-known bearer of the Kapampangan surname Galura (Kapampangan mythical eagle/garuda) is Felix Galura, a Kapampangan writer, playwright, and poet from Bacolor, Pampanga who is known as the “Father of Kapampangan Grammar) with his Kapampangan book “Exercises on the Easy Way to Learn Spanish Using Grammar” (Sanayan o Malaguang Pipagaralan qng Amanung Castila Agpang qng Gramatica).
His other known works in Kapampangan literature include the zarzuelas (plays) Ing Mora (The Muslim Woman) and Ing Singsing a Bacal (The Irong Ring), and founding the Kapampangan weekly publication Ing Alipatpat (The Firefly).
