Jose B Lingad Bronze Statue
Today, November 24, we commemorated the 107th birth anniversary of Jose Lingad in Lubao, Pampanga.
The highlight of the commemoration was the unveiling of the Jose Lingad historical marker and bronze statue (image above). After this, the National Historical Commission of the Philippines led the wreath-laying ceremony with the Municipal Government and the descendants of Jose Lingad.
Also part of the program is the opening of the “Faces of Filipino Heroism During the Second World War“ exhibit that features Lingad as a war veteran. The exhibit was first seen at the Libingan ng mga Bayani in Taguig City with an online version uploaded on the NHCP Facebook page.
This historic event was made possible through the effort and support from the descendants of Jose Lingad and the Municipal Government of Lubao.
