Kalinga kain
Mother-of-pearl slivers or buttons are also among the embellishments used in Philippine textiles.
The Kalinga kain is a wraparound skirt adorned with embroidery, beads, and mother-of-pearl shells. The mother-of-pearl shells are attached to the textile to move and reflect light.
