The Guinness World Records announced in 2012 that Lolong as officially the largest saltwater crocodile in captivity. Crocodile zoologist Adam Britton of National Geographic sedated and measured Lolong in his enclosure in the new Bunawan Eco-Park and Research Center, municipality of Bunawan, province of Agusan del Sur, Mindanao in November 2011.
