NAMIT is an Ilonggo word that means Delicious or SARAP! Often used to describe good food, but can also be used to describe feelings, experiences, or sensations of enjoyment.
When people say it twice to express their emotion, it means that the food is really good! Ilonggos also add the word “gid” to our sentences to convey the same message.
Namit-namit sang pagkaon ta ah! (Sobrang sarap ng pagkain natin ah!)
How’s your food? Namit gid!
