Oldest Restaurant in Manila
The Toho Panciteria Antigua is considered to be the oldest restaurant in Manila. Located along Calle Tomas Pinpin, the panciteria was established in 1888, during the final years of Spanish rule.
According to popular legend, both national heroes Jose Rizal and Andres Bonifacio ate in this restaurant at one point.
The Toho panciteria has survived several wars and upheaval. Its menu provides a taste of old Chinese and Filipino-Chinese cuisine.
