BFAR has lifted the Philippine shellfish ban in the coastal waters of Bolinao and Anda in Pangasinan. The lifting of the shellfish ban is contained in the Regional Shellfish Advisory No. 3 issued on May 21, 2019, stating that shellfish harvested from these areas are now safe for human consumption.
The coastal waters of Bolinao and Anda in Pangasinan are now negative for paralytic shellfish poison (PSP) or red tide toxin.
Gathering, transporting, marketing, and eating of shellfish harvested from the above-mentioned areas are now permitted.
