Postage Stamps Commemorating Rizal
On the 125th anniversary of Rizal’s martyrdom, the Post Office honors him, and his contributions to the Filipino people.
Rizal, during his short but meaningful life, furthered the advancement of knowledge through the practice of science, the quest for truth, and the study of life. Through these commemorative stamps, Rizal is seen as a human being with multiple capabilities and passions, not different from current and future generations who should continue to look at Dr. Jose Rizal as an excellent example of who Filipinos can be. He is the prime example of Hatid Malasakit, of going above and beyond what is required.
