Dr. Ricardo Trota Jose is a professor at the Department of History, University of the Philippines. He is the country’s foremost scholar on the Second World War in the Philippines and the Asia-Pacific. He specializes in military and diplomatic history, with a focus on the Japanese occupation of the Philippines.
He obtained his BA and MA in History from the University of the Philippines, and his Ph.D. from the Tokyo University of Foreign Studies.
He is the author of several books, monographs, and book chapters published locally and internationally, and has obtained several awards.
