Dr. Ronnie S. Concepcion II is recognized for his contributions to sophisticated computational intelligence models for precision and sustainable agriculture and decision-support systems, which result in high fertilizer use efficiency and lower chemical waste discharges. He was instrumental in developing clean food production technologies, aquaponic water quality sensors, alternative energy resource design, agricultural life cycle analysis, stakeholders, and the platform launch for simulated gravity farming.
Dr. Concepcion is an Associate Professor at the De La Salle University – Manila. He is also a member of the European Alliance for Innovation and the Singapore Royal Institute of Electronics Engineers. Moreover, he is also a science research specialist in internal and government-funded R&D initiatives and the Lead Researcher of the Intelligent Systems Laboratory’s Digital Agriculture study group.
Dr. Concepcion obtained his Bachelor of Science in Electronics and Communications Engineering from the Technological University of the Philippines – Manila in 2012, his Master of Science in Electronics Engineering from the Mapua University – Manila in 2017, and his Doctor of Philosophy in Electronics and Communications Engineering with specialization in biosystems from the De La Salle University in 2021.
