Sinukmani (Laguna)
Sinukmani is a traditional woodfired rice cake that is served only during special occasions due to the tediousness of preparation. The glutinous rice is bathed in coconut milk and brown sugar–continuously stirred until cooked. A separate cooking vat simmers fresh coconut cream until the toasted coconut curd surface to crown the sinukmani.
You may now find this inside the palengke or along roadside stalls. Try this luscious kakanin with your food buddies.
