Sludoy | Togo

The tube zither is a whole node of bamboo with six strings cut free from the body itself. Strings are lifted up with two small bamboo pegs for each string.

In the region of Mindanao, it is known as sludoy among the T’boli people and togo among the Teduray people.

It is played in an upright position held by two hands. The strings are plucked by the fingertips and its music is usually heard during festive occasions like weddings.
