Who made the first Philippine flag?
The following person made the first Philippine flag:
- Doña Marcela Agoncillo,
- Lorenza Agoncillo, and J
- Josefina Herbosa Natividad.
In line with the observance of the National Flag Day today, May 28, let us recognize the vital roles of these 3 women who meticulously sewed the first Philippine flag in Hongkong.
The said flag was the very flag that Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo waved when he declared Philippine independence on June 12, 1898.
