The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) is set to relocate the PCG Station Sultan Kudarat from Palimbang to Lebak.

This is after the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement ( MOA ) between the PCG and the municipal government of Lebak for the PCG’s utilization of a 1,000-square-meter lot for the said infrastructure project yesterday, 22 September 2021.

The PCG Station Sultan Kudarat is currently located at a 1,000-square meter lot in Barangay Milbok, Palimbang, Sultan Kudarat which lacks internet connectivity.

The PCG intends to relocate the said station to improve its communication with the PCG District Southern Mindanao, the National Headquarters, and the rest of the country.

Through its Sangguniang Bayan Board Resolutions No. 131, 136, and 137 series of 2021, the municipal government of Lebak offered the said public land to the PCG to further improve the performance of its mandates.

These include ensuring the safety of lives and properties at sea, protecting the marine environment, and enforcing maritime laws.

PCG District Southern Mindanao Commander, CG Captain Rejard V Marfe (MSc) represented the PCG, while Mayor Frederick F. Celestial represented the municipal government of Lebak during the MOA signing ceremony.
