This Protected Area has 11 forest formations, 33 watersheds, and is home to more than 12,000 Indigenous Palaw’an.

Mt Mantalingahan is Palawan’s most intact forest. 100,000 hectares forest cover. This protected landscape was created by Presidential Proclamation 1815 dated June 23, 2009.

The highest peak (2086 MASL) of Palawan and the largest terrestrial protected area in the province (120,457 ha).
