Barraca
Named after the shipyard “La Barraca” which was built in the area 1n 1794 during the term of Rafael Maria de Aguilar, 56th Governor-General of the Philippines (1793-1806). The vessels used by the Spaniards in defending the colony from the attacks and incursions launched by Moro pirates were constructed in this shipyard. The facility was shuttered in 1802.
