Philippine Education Spending Priorities 2023
- Education Assistance and Subsidies: Php 54.9 Billion
- Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education (UAQTE): Php 47.4 Billion
- Flexible Learning Options: Php 19.4 Billion
- Basic Education Facilities: Php 9.8 Billion
The education sector will receive an 8.2% increase next year at Php 852.8 billion and will continue to be the highest budgetary priority of the Philippine government.
“As the President said during his first SONA, we should not hold back on investing in education, as education is the only legacy we can leave our children that will never go to waste. This proves this administration’s commitment to invest in human capital development and youth empowerment,” Secretary Amenah F. Pangandaman said.
