Official Logo for the 150th Birth Anniversary of Emilio Jacinto
Here’s a closer look at the newly launched commemorative logo for the 150th Birth Anniversary of Emilio Jacinto, Brains of the Katipunan for his 149th Birth Anniversary.
The design features a rectangular box in two colors. The upper 3/4 of the box contains a vector version of Jacinto’s portrait on the left with “PINGKIAN 150” in bold red letters on the right side. The center of the “0” is the image of a Pingkian “Flint Stone” that also appears as a stylized human brain image. This pays homage to Jacinto’s nom de guerre “Pingkian” and the title “Brains of the Katipunan” ascribed to him by succeeding generations. In the bottom 1/4 are the words “Emilio Jacinto 1875 – 15 December – 2025″ Light and Dark monochrome backgrounds are also authorized.
The design was created by NHCP Creative Arts Specialist Jovan C. Soriano and formally launched during the commemorative lecture and sesquicentennial birth anniversary launch program hosted by the GSIS Museo ng Sining and the NHCP on 11 December 2024.
