The tradition of Hinuklog in Medina, Misamis Oriental.
From Maunday Thursday to Good Friday, the residents of Medina stage a reenactment of Pasyon ni Kristo. “Hinuklog,” translated to Reflection or Pagnilay-nilay, began in the 1970s until the annual tradition was halted due to the lack of funds.
The National Commission for Culture and the Arts helped revive Hinuklog in 2011. A group of local artists called Lumadnong Magdudula sa Medina (Lumagmed) organizes the event. They play out each scene of the Pasyon in different sites, including the plaza, the covered court, and the town market.
