New and improved Calbayog Airport to revitalize Eastern Visayas
The Duterte administration wants to improve the country’s airports, including upgrading Calbayog Airport. As a result, larger planes will be able to land, and daily flights to and from Eastern Visayas are expected to increase.
Increased Passenger Terminal Building (PTB) passenger capacity from 176 to 450.
- New passenger terminal building,
- Apron expansion,
- New taxiway,
- New parking area,
- New security fence,
- Improved drainage system, and
- Widening and improvement of the runway.
