Panaderia Dimas Alang is one of the oldest bakeries in the Philippines. It is located at Mabini street in Pasig. The bakery is called “Panaderia Dimas Alang” which is derived from the pen name of Dr. Jose Rizal, who is a friend of the Raymundo Family who owns the bakery.
Only here can you find a variety of traditionally made bread. When it is said traditional, means it is cooked in the “pugon”.
Many of its varieties we have not reached because of the quantity of the bread variety. I was shopping for bread and I saw adobo bread. But when I saw some buyers and they were buying it was the “Bonete” bread. It is one of the traditional bread known since the time of the Spaniards. And I was happy because I tasted one of the ancient breads in our country. It is hat-shaped and for three pesos you can experience it. It is located in the heart of Pasig City near Barangay Kapasigan. (@manilenyong.gala)
