Santa Catalina College
The first educational institution to be run by religious women was established in 1706. Founded in Intramuros as the Beaterio de Santa Catalina, later becoming the Colegio de Santa Catalina.
Established by Dominican Sisters of the Tertiary Order, formed in 1633 and led by Venerable Mother Francisca del Espiritu Santo.
