Santa Catalina CollegeĀ
The first educational institution run by religious women was established in 1706. It was founded in Intramuros as the Beaterio de Santa Catalina and later became the Colegio de Santa Catalina.
It was established by Dominican Sisters of the Tertiary Order, formed in 1633, and led by Venerable Mother Francisca del Espiritu Santo.
