Kapampángan Saint-Maker Festival: SANTERO FESTIVAL

Kapampángans are known for their elaborate images of saints known as santos, which are made by craftsmen known as santeros who make these intricate ecclesiastical art pieces out of wood, ivory, cement, or fiberglass.
The southern Kapampángan town of Macabebe is well-known for its santeros and saint image-making industry, and it holds the annual Santero Festival every January 17, the foundation date of Macabebe.
