Amugis Tree
Amugis (Koordersiodendron pinnatum (Blanco) Merr.
Amugis is a large tree that grows up to 25 meters tall. It thrives in forests at low altitudes up to 460 meters in elevation.
In secondary forests, it is usually present as a pre-disturbance remnant. It is widely distributed throughout the Philippines but is now where abundant.
The wood is used for general construction and furniture making. Its bark has medicinal properties.
