First Filipino Graduate of West Point
General Vicente P. Lim was a charter member of the Philippine Boy Scouts and the first Filipino to graduate from the United States’ West Point Academy in 1929.
He was also the only foreign cadet to graduate that year.
Throughout the valiant stand at Bataan, he continued to inspire and lead, and he was among those who survived the Bataan Death March on April 9, 1944, without surrendering his convictions and being committed to “Duty, Honor, and Country” until the end.
February 24, 2022 was his 134th Birth Anniversary.
