OLD ATENEO AUDITORIUM
JUAN NAKPIL, BUILT IN 1936
Formerly located in Calle Dakota, the former Ateneo Auditorium was designed by National Artist for Architecture Juan Nakpil in the Art Deco style. The two-storey structure was built to accommodate a total of around 800 persons and was once known as “the best theater in the Orient’. Unfortunately, the edifice was destroyed during the Battle of Manila.
