Parola Island: Know your Philippine features at the Kalayaan Island Group (KIG)
Parola literally means lighthouse. Parola Island, which is also known as Northeast Cay, is the third largest Philippine-occupied island at the Kalayaan Island Group.
Parola Island is about 12.7 hectares.
It is 1.75 miles (2.87 kilometers) north of Vietnamese-occupied Southwest Cay, and they are visible from each other.
It is located 28 miles (45 kilometers) northwest of Pag-asa Island.
