Patag Island: Know your Philippine features at the Kalayaan Island Group (KIG)
Patag literally means “flat”.
Patag Island has an area of 5,700 square meters and is about 6 (11.11 kilometers) nautical miles north of Lawak Island.
It is an example of a cay. It changes shape seasonally. The sand build up will depend largely on the direction of prevailing wind and waves.
