The Republic of the Philippines and the Republic of Cuba celebrated 75 years of formal diplomatic relations yesterday, July 4, 2021! The Philippines and the Republic of Cuba established diplomatic relations on July 4, 1946.

Below are some information about the relations between the two countries!

  • The Cuban city of Pinar del Rio was earlier known as Nueva Filipinas as a result of the arrival of Filipino workers through the Manila-Acapulco galleons.
  • Two Philippine Presidents had visited Cuba. They are Manuel Quezon and Gloria macapagal Arroyo.
  • The total trade between Philippines and Cuba is US$4,820,000 (2020).
  • The total Philippine exports to Cuba in 2020 is US$3,010.000.

  • The Philippines is 15,111.45 kilometers away from Cuba.
