Quezon Memorial Park
Quezon Memorial Circle, bounded by Elliptical Road, is a national park in Quezon City. Its main feature is the Quezon Memorial Shrine which serves as a mausoleum for the remains of President Manuel Quezon and his wife.
The 27-hectare park was part of a 400-hectare National Capitol City envisioned by Quezon in 1941 but did not come to fruition. Instead, the next President pursued the creation of a memorial for Quezon, who died during the Second World War. A national contest to design the memorial was held in 1951 and won by Federico S.Ilustre.
