Practicing the art gifted by Ginton, the deity of metalwork, Bundos has been carrying on the art of “Temwel” (brass casting) for most of his existence. While still utilizing traditional techniques, he has conjured several outstanding pieces bearing traditional designs and more novel masterworks. Bundos is acknowledged by his community for creating various exceptional pieces that are highly valued for their traditional yet remarkable artistry. The enigmatic aura that often envelops his creations is a result of the unique nature of his craft, which involves working with fire and unyielding metals into diverse shapes using a clay model.
Despite the challenges of the changing times, Bundos has remained steadfast as a master of the esteemed T’boli metalwork and is passing on the gift to a younger generation.
