Burial Site of Sheik Karimol-Makhdum in Sibutu, Tawi-Tawi
The NHCP led by Chairman Emmanuel Franco Calairo Ph.D., unveiled the historical marker, “Burial Site of Sheik Karimol-Makhdum in Sibutu, Tawi-Tawi” yesterday, 6 November 2023, at 2:00 p.m.
Chairman Calairo officially turned the marker to Sibutu Mayor Nur Fitra P. Ahaja. NHCP Deputy Executive Director Alvin R. Alcid witnessed the signing of the certificate of transfer. Mayor Ahaja delivered the acceptance message after the signing.
Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Undersecretary Margaux Salcedo spearheaded the distribution of school supplies to students of Sibutu, assisted by Chairman Calairo and Mayor Ahaja.
The NHCP is the national government agency mandated to promote and preserve Philippine history through museums, research, and publications. It also is to preserve historical heritage through conservation, and marking of historic sites and structures.
