Did you know that the church of Jasaan, Misamis Oriental was built as an attempt to mimic the old San Ignacio Church in Intramuros, Manila?

The Immaculate Conception Parish Church, which was built by the Jesuits beginning in 1887 and finished in the early twentieth century, is said to have been an attempt at a modest copy of the order’s mother church in Manila. The first level was made of bricks and the second of wood. In 2001, the church was designated a National Cultural Treasure.
