On this day, December 22, is the birth of National Scientist Francisco M. Fronda (1896). National Scientist Francisco Fronda was the first Filipino researcher to work on improving duck meat. These ducks were often referred to as “fronducks,” in recognition of his success in breeding and in producing stocks.
