Palapat
It was World Mangrove Day yesterday! The palapat or mangrove apple is a souring ingredient used in the coastal towns of southern Pampanga such as Masantol and Sasmuan where mangroves are abundant. There’s even a festival in the town of Masantol to promote products made from palapat!
