Panaghiusa Festival is a convergence of DSWD’s programs and services.
Panaghiusa in Cebuano means solidarity.
The festival aims to showcase the positive impact in the lives of partner-beneficiaries through their success stories and their livelihood products.
The activities on this occasion is geared toward increasing public awareness on DSWD programs, services and accomplishments. (mb)

- Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program
- Supplementary Feeding Program
- Alternative Parental Care
- Bottom-Up-Budgeting
- Social Pension Program (SPP)
- Listahanan
DSWD usually invite partner-beneficiaries in order to share their inspiring stories and how they were able to rise above the challenges they face in their day-to-day life.
The agency wants the beneficiaries to be a model and inspiration to others so that they will not give up easily in pursuing their dreams and aspirations.
This event will be participated by DSWD internal staff, local government units, partner national government agencies, non-government organizations, partner-beneficiaries, academe, media and will be open to the general public.
Various activities are lined-up like the state of the region address, festival parade, trade exhibit and information booth display and photo gallery.
Also included are the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) job fair and the awarding of the Regional Search for Huwarang Pantawid Pamilya, Exemplary Pantawid Pamilya Children and Kalahi-CIDSS Bayani Ka! winners.
This activity will also serve as a year-end report of the regional office’s
accomplishment and present the new thrust and priorities of the Department for the next year. (fb)
The first Panaghiusa Festival was held on August 12 and 13, 2015. The 4th will be held in the second week of December 2018.
