The Parish Church of La Inmaculada Concepcion
MAAJONG PISTA DUERO!
The National Museum Bohol joins the Boholano community in celebrating the Feast of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary! Today, we feature the parish church of La Inmaculada Concepción in Duero, Bohol.
The Duero Church is a declared Important Cultural Property by the National Museum of the Philippines and has a historical marker by the National Historical Commission of the Philippines. The Recollects built the church in 1863 and completed it in 1874. It remains one of the best examples of a Spanish colonial era-built structure with intact original hardwood for its floor beams, boards, and wooden ceiling.
