Agriculture is the first priority of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. in his Bangon Bayan Muli Platforms. As such, the Department of Agriculture is in full force with its goal to strengthen our food resources starting from research, to planting, to market, and to our homes.
The PBBM Agenda for Agriculture
- Food supply and food prices are within reach of ordinary Filipinos
- Fertilizer subsidy, urban and peri-urban agriculture, and Kadiwa
- Increase agricultural production
- Improve the mobilization of affordable agri-fishery commodities
- Government-to-government procurement
- Cheaper fertilizers can be provided to local farmers
- Harmonized farm-to-market road (FMR) network plan
- Financial and technical assistance to increase agricultural production
- Affordable farm inputs (abono, pestisidyo, mga punla, feeds)
- Fuel subsidy
- Strengthen the value chain
- Institutionalized pautang at financial assistance sa mga magbubukid at mangingisda
- Farm modernization
