Speed limit is the maximum speed at which a vehicle may legally travel on a particular stretch of road.
Speed limits are normally indicated on a traffic sign.
In the Philippines, the following speed limits are observed:
Expressways
- cars and motorcycles – 80 km/hr
- bus and trucks – 50 km/hr
Avenues
- cars and motorcycles – 40 km/hr
- bus and trucks – 30 km/hr
City and Municipal Roads
- cars and motorcycles – 30 km/hr
- bus and trucks – 30 km/hr
Crowded Streets
- cars and motorcycles – 20 km/hr
- bus and trucks – 20 km/hr
