Happy Fiesta Balilihan!

Viva La Virgen Del Carmen!

A hinterland town, Balilihan is located at 22 kilometers northeast of Tagbilaran City. The town boasts a stunning view of lush hills, craggy mountains, and grassy meadows. The town’s name “Balilihan” is said to have been coined after a type of grass (balili) that grew in abundance in the locality.

The town also holds a number of declared Built Heritage Structures such as the Balilihan Watchtower (NCT), the Parish Church of Nuestra Señora del Carmen (ICP), and the Old Municipal Hall (ICP) which is also currently in Memorandum of Agreement between the National Museum PH and LGU Balilihan for restoration works.
