Kinnabigat | @museokordilyera

The kinnabigat is the king post that connects the beam and the frame of the cogon roof of the Ifugao bale. In the houses of the kadangyan in certain areas of Ifugao, the king post may have anthropomorphic figures representing Kabigat, the god of plenty and giver of the rice plant.

The hollowed out head of this figure reveals its function as a structural support in an Ifugao bale.
