This mortar or “Lusong” and pestle or “alho” used by Butuanons.

Lusong kag hal-o!

Lusong kag hal-o a tool used for milling by pounding. The mortar is a durable bowl commonly made of stone, ceramic, or wood. The pestle is a rounded grinding club often made of the same material as the mortar. The mortar and pestle were the first means known for grinding grain and other root crops.
