Food processing is what Butuanons are known for as shown by these traditional implements (image above) used to pound and grind rice and other substances (e.g. banana, spices).

Lusong kag hal-o!
Lusong kag hal-o a tool used for milling by pounding. The mortar is a durable bowl commonly made of stone, ceramic, or wood. The pestle is a rounded grinding club often made of the same material as the mortar. The mortar and pestle were the first means known for grinding grain and other root crops.
