PLDT MyDsl Slow Internet Connection

PLDT MyDsl sometimes has very low internet connection speed.

Granting that you have subscribed to the PLDT speedster plan, your theoretical speed should be 5MB per second at most.

But sometimes there are days when PLDT internet speed is so slow.

Some of the reasons for PLDT MyDsl Slow Internet Connection  Are  the following:

Stay Near The Router

If you are connecting to the internet, be sure that the distance between your device and the wireless router is near.

Faulty Phone line Cable

You might be picking up stray signals or cross talk from other phone lines if the telephone line in your house is old or deteriorating.

Your Computer Has A Virus

Spyware and viruses can definitely affect your Internet connection. Aside from spyware and viruses, your Internet connection speed can also be affected by add-on programs, the amount of memory the computer has, hard disk space and condition, and the programs that are running.

Be sure to install one anti-virus program, licensed one is preferred but there are lots of free programs out there. Do not install more than one anti-virus program.

The Site You Are Trying To Access Is Busy

There are times that you might think that your PLDT myDsl internet connection is very slow but the fact is, it is the site you are accessing that is slow. Try checking other sites and if your access is fast then the site is not the problem.

You Are Using A Bloated Browser

Try removing all the browser add-ons that you do not use. They sometimes cause slow internet connection. Try using a browser with no add-on or extension, does your internet faster without them.

When browsing the internet, try closing all the tabs in your browser, try opening just one tab.

Change The Channel Of Your Wireless Router

Most of the time, the technicians of PLDT installing the wireless router input the same channel as our neighbors. It is possible that your wireless device is being bogged down by having to broadcast on the same channel as them. You can talk to the PLDT technician to use different channels when installing your wireless router.
